Six new product groups started with Fc58823 September 2019
On 23 September 2019 we took a further step in the roll-out of the flower bucket Fc588. The Fc588 is now also available to the suppliers of Gypsophila, Hypericum, Waxflower, Limonium, Veronica and Euphorbia. We expect to be able to add even more seasonal flowers this fall!

In March 2019, we introduced the new multi-use flower bucket (Fc588) with matching support shelving (Fc598) to our packaging pool. There will be a phased introduction per product group.
Put into use for six seasonal flowers
As of 23 September 2019 seasonal flowers Gypsophila, Hypericum, Waxflower, Limonium, Veronica and Euphorbia can also be supplied in Fc588 (and Fc598). Earlier this year, the product groups Lisianthus and Alstroemeria had already started using them. Later in the fall of 2019 we expect to be able to release the Fc588 and/or Fc598 for several more seasonal flower product groups.
We are opting for a phased introduction per product group in order to ensure sufficient availability, also during the peak period. Use by groups other than the released product groups is not yet possible.
Load factor improvement thanks to Fc588
Wherever possible, we work on improving our logistics services and increasing our efficiency every day. By introducing the new efficient flower bucket Fc588, we are responding to the increasing use of CC containers in the export trade, working on further sustainability and ensuring that the chain costs are reduced.
Walter Arts (Operations Manager at Florius B.V.) is enthusiastic about the Fc588: "Initially, we had our doubts about the number of stems per bucket and per layer. But various tests have shown that we can truly achieve an additional load of 11%. We are therefore happy to be able to switch to Fc588 for products Hypericum and Veronica from 23 September 2019."
